NT Saltwater Crocodile Skull Artwork – "Billabong Green" Fine Art by Jodii Scully (30cm) for Dr Croc

Artwork - Billabong Green

Bring the untamed essence of the Northern Territory into your home with this striking, hand-finished 28cm Saltwater Crocodile skull artwork, created exclusively for Dr Croc.

Darwin artist Jodii Scully grew up fishing the billabongs and tidal waters of the Top End—a lifelong passion she continues today. Spending her life in crocodile country has given her an intimate respect for the apex predator and its natural environment.

Finished in rich, deep greens, this piece represents the art of the ambush: the way the crocodile becomes one with its surroundings, melting seamlessly into floating water lilies and murky depths as it waits for prey.

Meet the Artist

Handcrafted with intention, each piece is painted by Jodii Scully, a descendant of the Ngangiwumirri people from the Daly River region, residing in Darwin, NT. Jodii’s work is a deeply personal interpretation of culture and country, exploring how tradition and land intermingle with native flora and fauna.

Care & Maintenance

• Washing & Dusting: Dust gently with a soft, dry microfiber cloth. If necessary, wipe clean with a slightly damp, soft cloth using mild soapy water. Never submerge, soak, or place under running water, and never use a dishwasher.
• Chemical Avoidance: Do not use abrasive cleaners, glass sprays, alcohol, acetone, or harsh chemical solvents, as these will cloud or scratch the high-clarity resin finish.
• Handling & Placement: Handle with care using both hands to support the weight. Avoid placing in direct, prolonged sunlight or near extreme heat sources (such as fireplaces or radiators) to preserve the resin clarity and natural biological specimen integrity.
• Surface Protection: Display on a stable surface or display stand. Keep sharp objects away from the resin-coated areas to prevent surface scratches.

Handcrafted Uniqueness & Quality Note

• One-of-a-Kind Artistry: Every artwork is individually hand-created and finished. Due to the organic nature of natural timber, biological specimens, and hand-poured resin, minor variations, subtle color shifts, microscopic bubbles, or slight surface blemishes are natural features of the crafting process—not defects. These characteristics celebrate the handmade process and guarantee your piece is a completely unique original.
• Sales & Returns Policy: Due to the rare, hand-painted, and bespoke nature of these collectors' items, all sales are final once purchased. Items cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded for change of mind or natural variations inherent to handmade art. Please review all product photographs and specifications carefully prior to checkout.
